NGOCSTIP – Countering Human Trafficking: A 2025 Global Initiative is a two-day conference hosted by Pace University in New York City on March 3 and 4, 2025. This impactful event brings together experts, survivors, and advocates to explore critical strategies to combat human trafficking and violence against women and girls (VAWG). Attendees will be able to participate in expert-led discussions, witness firsthand survivor testimonies, and gain insights into how global communities are addressing the pervasive issue of trafficking and violence. This conference aims to foster collaboration, share innovative solutions, and build a global network of individuals committed to ending these grave injustices.

DAY 1: The Scope of Human Trafficking and Our Community’s Response

The first day of the conference will take place on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Pace University’s One Pace Plaza, Student Center. The event will begin with registration from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., followed by panels and speakers from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Throughout the day, experts from the United States, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and other countries will delve into various aspects of human trafficking. They will explore topics such as sex and labor exploitation, as well as the role of religion and cults. Furthermore, they will also examine the global impact of conflict, with particular focus on the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Panel discussions will highlight crucial topics, including the following:

• Investigation and Prosecution of Trafficking Cases: Legal experts and law enforcement will explore current methods of tracking, prosecuting, and convicting human traffickers.
• Healthcare Responses and Victim Support: Medical professionals will discuss the importance of providing survivors with necessary healthcare, mental health services, and rehabilitation.

Additionally, Pace University faculty and staff will showcase their ongoing efforts in combatting trafficking and providing support to survivors. Moreover, they will illustrate how universities, as key stakeholders, can significantly contribute to this global fight.

DAY 2: Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG): Examining Successful Strategies to Stop Crime

The second day of the conference, on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. It will shift focus to the broader issue of violence against women and girls (VAWG). As with Day 1, registration will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. With panels and speakers scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Experts from around the world will present strategies for preventing violence and exploring successful initiatives that have made an impact in the fight against VAWG.

• Proven Strategies for Preventing Stalking, Harassment, and Domestic Violence: Law enforcement, activists, and psychologists will discuss effective methods. • US Efforts to Investigate and Combat Domestic Violence: Leading experts will share the latest advancements in domestic violence investigations. Highlight success stories from various states in the US.
